Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation – Kowloon Station in Hong Kong (Architects- Sir Norman Foster Partnership).
Hal Mann’s brief was to design a terrazzo tile capable of taking over one million pairs of feet a day!
This tile, which has high granite content, is now installed at the Hong Kong railway terminus.
To comply with the wishes of the designers who wanted an open long-span design, the matching precast stair units were set into stainless steel frames.
