How many years have you been with HMV Supplies?

Having dedicated over seven years to the Halmann Vella Group, I initially joined as a sales executive, acquiring extensive experience in addressing diverse client requirements. Subsequently, I assumed the role of warehouse manager before eventually being entrusted with the management of HMV Supplies.

What do you enjoy most about your job? What gives you the most satisfaction?

I find great satisfaction in the dynamic nature of my position at HMV Supplies. Serving our customers and meeting their unique needs brings me fulfillment. It is a joy to interact with individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life, assisting them in their projects. Witnessing their successful outcomes, supported by our top-quality materials and attentive service, is truly rewarding.

How many people work in the shop?

Our dedicated team at HMV Supplies comprises of three individuals with a wealth of expertise, enabling them to provide personalised assistance to our valued clientele. With their combined 60 years of experience and deep understanding of the industry, our team members offer a mature perspective and extensive knowledge in their roles. Their valuable experience equips them to provide sound advice and guidance to our customers, ensuring they receive the best possible solutions for their needs. In addition, we have two skilled employees who manage the stocking and organisation of our warehouse, as well as providing valuable support in helping clients load the materials they purchase. Their expertise in operating forklifts ensures efficient management of goods and a seamless customer experience.

Why was there a need for the shop? What gap was missing in the market that HMV Supplies filled?

Recognising the existing state-of-the-art showroom catering to customers’ bespoke material requirements, we discerned the need for a shop that operates on a cash-and-carry basis. Our goal was to offer a comprehensive selection of items readily available in stock, ranging from ceramic tiles, pre-cut natural flooring for indoor and outdoor use, and pre-cut sills to cement tiles. Additionally, we provide an extensive array of products such as crazy paving, sanitary ware, bathroom accessories, tools, decorative pebbles, marble powder, granite chippings, and materials for sandblasting. Furthermore, we are renowned for supplying a diverse range of ready-packed or custom-made grout, tile adhesives, and tile clips, catering to the specific needs of tile and marble layers.
