Health & Safety Officer

This is a full-time role for a Health and Safety Officer at Halmann Vella Group in Mosta. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, providing training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
  • Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Workplace Safety skills.
  • Knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Architect – Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of projects from initiation to completion. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities/Duties:

  • Acting as the main technical adviser on construction sites.
  • Setting out, levelling and surveying construction sites.
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications and according to standard.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
  • Agreeing a price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended projects.

  • Liaising with any consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Day-to-day management of the construction sites, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and construction site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on construction sites.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a Draughtsperson to create accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints for engineering and construction projects. Collaborating with engineers and architects, you will translate project requirements into precise drawings while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software and traditional drafting techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and produce accurate drawings.
  • Review and revise drawings to accommodate changes and client feedback.

Truck Driver

The Role: responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and drive various types of trucks, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and box trucks.
  • Transport goods and materials over short and long distances, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Follow established routes and schedules while adjusting for traffic and weather conditions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Labourers to join our team specializing in marble and tile installations. The ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience in this field, demonstrating precision, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, cut, and polish marble and tile surfaces with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and marking areas to ensure proper alignment and fit of tiles.
  • Use hand and power tools, such as tile cutters, saws, and polishing machines, safely and effectively.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, grouts, and sealants to secure tiles and marble pieces.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to achieve precise installations.
