Halmann Vella has breathed new life into the iconic Portomaso Stairs in St. Julians, through a remarkable refurbishment project. Originally constructed in 1999, these stairs have undergone a meticulous renovation to accommodate the constant flow of visitors, including residents, boat owners, and pedestrians who frequent the area. Once again, Halmann Vella has created a visually captivating and functional space that harmonises with the vibrant atmosphere of Portomaso. Halmann Vella was entrusted with the cladding works of the façade at Sterling Head Quarters. The splays in the Travertine cladded walls create a light and shade effect which complements well the architecture of the building and its surroundings. Façade works entail precision and attention to detail to define accurately an Architect’s vision and a client’s wish.  An aluminium structure was designed according to an as-built survey. We were proud to bring the design of Forth Business Centre in Ta’ Xbiex to life, under the guidance of Paul Scerri. With 6 floors of office space to work with, we were able to use many different materials including Travertine Silver Brown and Nero Assoluto for the cladding, as well as a mix of Silver Grey Granite and Breccia Antica for the reception area.

Archi+ are widely known for delivering outstanding projects – and their office in Lija is exactly one of them! We supplied the architectural terrazzo needed to make the studio’s vision come to life. With almost 300 sqm of space Archi+ moved from Iklin to larger premises in Mosta Road, Lija. We supplied architectural terrazzo slabs for flooring and reception area. Finishing a project up to the highest standards and on time is not the easiest task in the midst of a pandemic. But the Halmann Vella team worked around the clock to finish a total area of 200sqm of flooring for Baystreet Shopping Complex.  Essential geometries for the external tiling in BSP Grey and Piombo, and a centrepiece on Level 2 made in Macchia Perta by Infinity Surfaces. Designed by Carlo Schembri.    

A well deserved new look for Eden Cinemas in St. Julian’s. Lead Designer Sean Cassar at The Design Hub entrusted us with providing brushed columns in Pietra Lavica, as well as the flooring and the stairs, giving the place a dynamic and modern look. We love the contrast between colours and materials!

The Edwards Lowell Concept Store located in one of Malta’s most luxurious postcodes, Portomaso Marina is back with a bang! For the renovation of this luxurious space, which merges lifestyle, art, design, books, watches and jewellery, we sourced and installed large 2m x 1m slabs of Ariostea. Ariostea flooring, ultramodern fixtures and bright natural light pouring in from the sizeable apertures play an impeccable framework for the carefully-curated pieces within.
