Environmental Performance

The installation of a ventilated façade involves leaving a gap between the cladding material and the external wall of the building. This has multiple environmental benefits. A continuous layer of external insulations protects the building in a more uniform way, eliminating  heat bridging and improving the building’s energy performance. The multiple layers of the facade cause an ongoing process of natural ventilation, removing excess humidity and playing a vital role in keeping the building cool in summer and warm in winter by controlling heat loss. Yet another advantage valued by contemporary architects is the potential to fully exploit the considerable aesthetic potential offered by exterior wall coverings. Precast Terrazzo Systems & Engineering

All materials require proper systems to ensure the cladding system is installed according to European standards. This ensures that the elements are mechanically restrained through a variety of fixings systems both visible, undercut and joint hooks to ensure cladding remains structurally stable over the expected building lifespan. In certain instances if required the system can be designed according to seismic requirements as well. The materials used to install the systems is high grade aluminum and Marine grade stainless steel. The systems are specifically designed to accommodate building movements.

Ventilated Facades can be installed in  new buildings or existing ones, requiring an upgraded due to architectural or environmental requirements.
